Feminism and sexiness - Hijacked Thread - Twin-Skies - 12-01-2010 Just an interesting post on feminism I found. It's the sort of feminism that that doesn't mind women deciding to try to be sexy. It boils down to personal choice - women dress up to be attractive because they choose to, not because they're required to be by society. http://pervocracy.blogspot.com/2010/11/feminism-and-sexiness.html Quote:I'm officially done with the Twisty Faster Is Fucking Insane posts. Not that she got any saner, but I worry the point of those posts was lost. The point was "these people are hateful and unreasonable under the guise of 'feminism,' and that isn't feminism at all," but it too often seemed to come out as "look at these feminists, they're so hateful and unreasonable." Every time someone says that they're not a feminist because they like men and sex and they don't feel miserably oppressed--well, I don't want to feel like I'm contributing to that. The old posts stay up but there will be no new ones. *Sigh* This is the sort of girl I'd probably fall in love with. Not to sound sexist, but I have yet to meet any pinays within my age who bear these sort of sensibilities. So many of them seem so "kikay" and shallow, that it's annoying. Uh, I think I posted this on the wrong thread. Could the mods move it to General Discussions please? RE: Feminism and sexiness - Twin-Skies - 12-01-2010 @Sforza There's quite a lot of smokin' hot, confident, and intelligent ladies who attend the FF meetings actually ...but all of them are already taken RE: Feminism and sexiness - NiX - 12-01-2010 Beautiful, almost erotic, post. I sort of lost her and her point somewhere along the post though. But to go into the nitty-gritty of things such as what is and isn't sexy, and why it is considered sexy, and how it comes to be defined as sexy, requires a far deeper analysis of society in general... which I don't really feel like delving into. But whatever, I'll take it at face value. RE: Feminism and sexiness - J.E_Magog - 12-01-2010 Most RR members will end up marrying someone that resemble their MOTHERs RE: Feminism and sexiness - HayWire - 12-01-2010 ROFL. Like earning up a nice armor set in MH; you'll get a nice Ratha set after casually playing for a long time. Or you could just concentrate in hunting just the Ratha for a few hours/days to get it RE: Feminism and sexiness - iraya-sama - 12-01-2010 wrong, they will have their waifu.jpg and their mistress.avi. RE: Feminism and sexiness - Goat - 12-01-2010 FACE IT. RR WILL MARRY 2D WOMEN. RE: Feminism and sexiness - NiX - 12-01-2010 (12-01-2010, 09:24 PM)HayWire Wrote: Well it depends on how much effort you put into trying to get there. I was amused. Perfect analogy. RE: Feminism and sexiness - Trace-02 - 12-02-2010 The MH reference made me go *tear*.... Stupid Rathalos made me go off-topic. So you're saying that if I should date a girl, I should make it a point to chop off their arms, and tranq them first before I bring them home? RE: Feminism and sexiness - Rexzo - 12-02-2010 wow you guys really get into detail but i kinda would have to agree with that girl i personally like girls that feel pretty even without makeup (they don't feel a need to put makeup on) but i also like them kinky by the way anyone know where this girls address is? jkjk probably on another continent anyway RE: Feminism and sexiness - Trace-02 - 12-02-2010 (12-02-2010, 12:35 AM)Twin-Skies Wrote:(12-01-2010, 09:24 PM)HayWire Wrote: Well it depends on how much effort you put into trying to get there. I bet that girl would say: "Not on your first playthough, buddy." and then trample you and eat you. |
