Chapter One: First Day

I awoke on this land with a pain in my head
Confused of what has happened, cannot recall what was said
Stood up on twos - fours are no longer
Leaned on a wall until I was sober

I stood next to rubbish...Have I always been here?
Some humans passed by ignoring me with no fear
I could understand the words that they spoke
One said as he passed by, "How is he alive? Is this a joke?"

Now I remember what has happened to me
Why I was so small, why I had two pairs of limbs instead of three
Those people who bound me have no idea what they have done
Whoever used to own this body is a very unlucky one

They tricked him to a ritual he did not agree upon
which costed him his soul that has left and gone
His soul was forcefully removed from his body
This empty cup now filled with the burden of me

What they have done cannot be reversed
One such as I would think of this as a curse
To live as a human, walk, suffer and die
Till the day comes when I return to the sky

Which brings up the question of why they did this
Why they sealed me and what do they want to accomplish
Do they seek to stop Ragnarok from happening
Which is an impossible task - but maybe they won't stop trying

Ragnarok will happen no matter what they do
Everything will be destroyed in order to make anew
The prophecy will require the demons, Skoll and Hatii
The greater light of the heavens engulfed by Skoll, the lesser by me

I should not kill myself even if I can
For risk of myself dying as a man
Not turning back into a demon as I should
I must wait for this to die normally if it could

For now I will live and try to stay alive
The problem is that I have never been human, I don't know how to survive
I'll start with the basics, like learning to walk
Then something more complicated, like how to talk

I look around my surroundings for anyone around
It was night time, so there was no sound
I put a foot forward, one after the other
then I made a mistake, slid and stumbled over

Fall flat on the ground, face covered with dirt
Try to get up, I felt the pain and hurt
Stood up straight, tried to balance these feet
The next step is hard but I have to make it

Chapter Two: Encounter

I struggle to walk, trying not to fall
Supporting myself using the wall
Human eyes are not used to the dark
But I cannot shout for help, cannot call or hark

I push myself away from the wall
Tried to stand firm, straight and tall
If they can do it, so can I
I finally learned to walk after the third try

Though the night was young, I was getting sleepy
A feeling I am not used to because I sleep at sunrise actually
But since I am a stranger, where am I to rest?
There are no fields, woods or even a forest

I decided to stay at a corner of a place
Sat down at a flat empty space
Close my eyes and listened to the night
Relax, breathe and feel the moonlight

Sleep has been interrupted, silence is no more
Woke up at early morning, and my neck is sore
The paths that were empty now have a bit of life
A scene of one human against two with a knife

The one with the weapon smiles at the other two
He says "Gimme yo money else Imma kill joo!"
This human here, is large and yet thin
With long shaggy hair and some on the chin

What is this money that he demands from them?
Is it so important that he has to kill then?
Whatever this is about, it is none of my concern
But those nearby such events are dragged in, a lesson I am about to learn

One of the pair, too scared to think
Looks at me for help, all I could do was blink
Am I supposed to help just because I am near?
I could barely walk and I am not supposed to be here

I stood up from my spot and tried to walk away
Then the shaggy man had something to say;
"Hold it right there, weirdo who walks with problemz in his knees!
Yo better not call the Authorehtees!"

I try to ignore him as much as I can
But he really is a very annoying man
He mocked me, insulted me, calling me deaf and other things
He said he will take the life of the other beings

I turned around and looked at him
Is he really going to do it on a whim?
His mouth missing teeth, his face with a scar
I had to step a bit closer since I could not see these from afar

"Why're ya looking at me like that, huh kid?
Izzit something that I did?
Everyone needs something to eat
I'll do anything for food, may it be kill,lie or cheat!"

As he said this, the two got away
they hid far away without any delay
He turned around and saw that they were gone
He glared at me saying I was a moron

His voice filled with anger as he held onto the knife
He said he will make me pay as he charged at me with all his strife
The knife pierces thru this mortal one's body
Falls down and feels the pain while in a pool so bloody

Legs weak, eyes blurry, but sees the man is gone
Losing blood fast and quick, unable to move on
But before these eyes are shut
Two figures are seen, but I am not sure what
