Well for the Filipino purpose, I can understand this combo. A fork simply isn't efficient at scooping rice, and we also have too many soupy/saucy foods. But yes, this is something very very Filipino hahah.

Don't you just hate it that, when you're in a rush, these guys just seem to hang around street corners cruising for fares or even clustering up together on busy roads. It's annoying for both the commuters and the unfortunate motorists stuck behind them. It's the same for buses too.
