Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse - Grim - 12-09-2007 I'm really digging Ben Templesmith's style. I just got Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse yesterday, and consistent with the Templesmith stamp, it's got lots of blood and dark palettes. The premise of the whole series is of a possessed corpse going around with his sidekicks and pretty much blasting interdimensional beasties and demons back to the pits from whence they came. Dialogue is genius. It's sparse, but Wormwood's (the worm in the corpse) sarcasm never runs dry. I love it so much I'm actually going to buy(!) a copy when I find one here. While having an electronic copy is always a nice thing, you can't beat glossy paper in your hands. Plus the whole book is a veritable work of art, from the covers right down to every page in between. RE: Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse - Goat - 04-12-2008 Since it's just around 130mb or so, I might as well read it. I'm currently downloading the file, though I'll read it after I'm done with Higurashi. :p RE: Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse - Goat - 04-13-2008 Hey Grim, san ka nakabili? This work of art actually reminded me of my high school days. XD RE: Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse - Grim - 04-13-2008 Bought my copy in Fully Booked in Fort. |
