I think one of the bigger factors about SCBW vs WC3 is how the balance is made out.

By ver 1.15 SCBW is already considered really balanced. WC3 in the other hand has balance problems (one of the bigger issues I believe was the presence of heroes and tavern heroes)

Of course. the fact that there are so many heroes & mercenary heroes & items really makes it difficult to balance.
it will take much longer to fix compared to bw. pero FT is a really good and surprisingly fast RTS. ang gusto ko sa bw
is that real military tactics can be applied like flanking, surprise drops, deception etc. sa FT your knowledge base will really
be more of items, hero, unit combinations kasi sa FT the is all about Hard Counters.

RE: StarCraft II - NiX - 06-22-2009

SC was balanced long before 1.15.

I think the last balance patch was 1.09.

WC3 having 4 races, randomized damage and items, as well as neutrals, all made WC3 difficult to balance. Till this very day, people are still crying imba. Orc is the broken race right now, IIRC.

SC got its balance patch long ago (it was called zergcraft before that update) 1.03-1.08, and the rest up to 1.15 was bug fixing issues.

stargate replaces citadel of adun before templar archives

SC1 = cyber---->citadel ------> templar

SC2 = cyber---->stargate ----> templar (although high and dark are seperate)

Well, it's a similar case with the other races, so I guess it should be ok. But the Beta will change everything. Do well Beta players. Salute

RE: StarCraft II - clonezero - 06-30-2009

Teamliquid delivers! Good read.

RE: StarCraft II - atdsutm - 07-01-2009

i have noticed that zerg lacks some good casters and doesnt have those skill based comeback casts such as dark swarm or plague, they really are the underdog race at the moment, the only silver bullet they have from early-mid game are banelings

Looks like Zerg may be the weaker one among the three as of now. On how they'll fix this, I dunno. Putting back a scourge-like unit, plus the stuff you said, can probably even the playing field.
