RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - atdsutm - 01-30-2010 http://news.yahoo.com/video/world-15749633/17874356 the russian's 5th generation fighter plane RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - Mjting - 02-03-2010 http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2010/02/02/bandai-namco-posts-350000000-loss-will-sack-10/ okay, NAMCO, stop fucking over your loyal gamers, stop porting here and there, stop putting out incomplete shitty games, and stop being like EA(spamming same games like tales of XXXX series). there you go. RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - Hempire - 02-03-2010 tales series? o_O i still like tales of vesperia, but i really wished they made a translation of tales of destiny remake(ps2) for ps3.... oh and stupid Namco, lazy ass T6 menu and shitty netcode...fix it fuckers!!!! *see blazblue* RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - Twin-Skies - 02-04-2010 Iran attempts to recreate Ninja Turtles, Master Splinter, and Krang using cosmic rays http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/04/world/middleeast/04iran.html?hp Quote:PARIS — In what seemed intended as a display of technological advance, Iran said on Wednesday that it had fired a rocket into space carrying living organisms — a rat, two turtles and worms, according to the state-run Press TV. RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - NiX - 02-04-2010 Local news: "Adopted son kills ma over school absences" http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/breakingnews/regions/view/20100204-251268/Adopted-son-kills-ma-over-school-absences RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - clonezero - 02-04-2010 ![]() kids these days XP RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - Fox - 02-04-2010 I wonder how long a juvenile will get for matricide? RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - Sforza - 02-04-2010 There seems to be more to this story than what's presented in the article. For example, parents sleeping in separate rooms often indicates a larger domestic problem (I'm SURE it's not only snoring). Being an adoptive child is another, and quarreling over absences at school was mentioned too. I'm pretty sure the quarrels weren't just limited to that. Also, when I opened the source article, there was a link on the right hand side to another story. The headline read, "Over 200,000 Filipino children are victims of abuse, says group." That brings back bad memories. Low grades / absences and I'll either get kurot or bugbog. ------------------------- other news poor father chains up boy during work http://news.ninemsn.com.au/glance/1008185/poor-father-chains-up-boy-during-work RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - Serene - 02-05-2010 http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/classified-odd/02/04/10/uae-man-pays-647-m-3-camels Quote:DUBAI – An Emirati splurged a whopping 24 million dirhams ($6.47 million) for 3 camels, including one which cost $2.72 million, at an auction in the desert near Abu Dhabi, an AFP photographer said. Ha! Beat that Abdul! RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - Sforza - 02-08-2010 Sinatra Song Often Strikes Deadly Chord Quote:The authorities do not know exactly how many people have been killed warbling “My Way” in karaoke bars over the years in the Philippines, or how many fatal fights it has fueled. But the news media have recorded at least half a dozen victims in the past decade and includes them in a subcategory of crime dubbed the “My Way Killings.” http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/07/world/asia/07karaoke.html?th&emc=th So guys, what are your thoughts on neighbors that belt out horrible karaoke songs until the wee hours of the morning? ![]() ![]() RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - Fox - 02-08-2010 I've actually seen one of these brawls happen before, back in Ilocos, it was a really ugly sight, and yes, there definitely is something about this song that just pushes the berserk button in some people. It's part of the reason why i tend to avoid walking past this videoke bar along the main road at night. Since most of the patrons are soldiers straight off-duty, self-preservation means taking the longer route to the convenience store. RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - Grim - 02-08-2010 I was told a long time ago that the reason this song was so deadly was because everyone wanted to sing My Way... well, in their way. And you know you can't really repeat a song someone else has sung out of karaoke etiquette. So I guess it's more of frustration for the other guys when they can't sing it. RE: Teh interesting news stub thread - Fox - 02-08-2010 Seagal interested in doing a movie with Pacquiao. Quote:The 57-year-old martial arts hero, one of the most bankable stars of the '90s thanks to hit movies like "Out for Justice" (1991) and "Under Siege" (1992) and reported total movie earnings of $923 million worldwide-but whose recent films have become constant flops-made a visit at the Los Angeles home of Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao to implore the latter to do a movie with him. |
