RE: What did you learn today? - Fox - 10-09-2011 That the PS3 actually contains a multi-power supply board, meaning that, regardless of where your unit is from, it will work with whatever voltage is standard in your community. Basically, you can take a US-bought PS3 and plug it into our local 220v sockets and the unit will not fry itself. Apparently, Sony was just messing with the consumers with those warnings on the outer casing. The internal decals on the power supply unit all read 100v-240v. RE: What did you learn today? - Zefyr - 10-10-2011 Pressing and holding the X button on the PS3 controller for extended periods of time, to perhaps dash and roll in a game, can make the skin connecting your nails and the tips of your finger hurt. And boy do mine hurt a lot XD RE: What did you learn today? - NiX - 10-13-2011 RE: What did you learn today? - Mjting - 10-13-2011 RE: What did you learn today? - Grim - 10-13-2011 The "Flood"? As in Noah's Ark's Flood? RE: What did you learn today? - NiX - 10-13-2011 Yep. Picture is from some creationist museum in the US. RE: What did you learn today? - zero_kanipan - 10-14-2011 floating for centuries? our scientists must get to work finding this species of trees, because obviously they are waterproof, and do not rot or decompose like normal trees. He reportedly quipped that he wanted moviegoers to buy another ticket because they might have missed him the first time around. The same with the "fan test" that you can run to blow out dusts in the machine, which can solve some freezing issues caused by dirty lenses. Why an easily accessible diagnostics function could damage the system is beyond me. Learned that some classes in college are like the game of Blackjack: certain "skills" are required to get around the status quo (i.e. professor failing a set percentage of the students in order to get perfect bell curves in their grade histograms), while persistence will get you killed. The only difference is that they are not optional. And that the inability to put in hangar parts in this AC:LR builder (Generation Last Raven, also available from ACU) can be solved by setting the computer running it to display Japanese. Edit: Fixed some grammar errors. RE: What did you learn today? - Mjting - 10-20-2011 http://www.cracked.com/blog/6-misleading-assumptions-you-make-about-quiet-people/ Just an interesting read. I didn't know where to exactly put this, so there. RE: What did you learn today? - NiX - 10-20-2011 Scary shit. Nature's coming to get us.
