everything is updated, also have coreavc. it doesnt always happen btw. some** 720p stuff i have run fine. the best fix i have currently is to disable fancy/animation on the subs* and make sure i restart my laptop before watching.
*actually i dont run into any video/audio lag if i disable subs altogether. but yeah, i dont understand Japanese so i have to deal with it ^^u.
**come to think of it, it's highly possible that the issue depends on the subbing group and how they go about encoding the files and their subs. hmm *strokes goatee*

Then you might have conflicting codecs. I suggest you do a fresh install of everything, look for guides on the internet.

done that already. thats how i actually came across the disable subs fix. even went as far as reformatting and re-installing windows. the only fix i found that i havent tried is to reencode the vids/subs myself.
