As a young lad, Cookie was a normal puppet, a cousin of Elmo, he merely wanted to grow up like a normal puppet. Until the day the big evil "Sesame Street Crew" brainwashed him, forcefully making him listen to poorly made speech help audio programs and force feed him expired Oreos and Chips Ahoy's as an experiment in puppet survivability. Thus his awful speech pattern remains today as well as his unhealthy obsession with anything round and crunchy.
