RE: PSP Customization and Modding - Doom Trigger - 09-10-2008

BTW sir Jake, does G-masking your PSP keep it safe from scratches? I've been thinking a lot of this as of late cuz I'm starting to dislike the aditional bulk of my protector..

RE: PSP Customization and Modding - Sforza - 09-10-2008

Yup, it protects against scratches, spit, oily hands and fingerprints. There's an option for screen protector or no screen protector. I suggest getting it so there won't be holes in the protection.

You mean they G-mask the screen protector to you PSP? Wow..Wub

The 5.00 M33 CFW has been released for a while na pala. Didn't notice.

EDIT: And now 5.00 M33-2. I wonder just how much DAX enjoys doing this? And I wonder who'll step up if he ever leaves the scene?

EDIT: 5.00 M33-3. It also seems like exophase has stopped hosting the PSP files on their servers. I dunno if this is some momentary thing to alleviate server load, or if someone sent them a letter. XD

PSP Go is (officially?) announced.

RE: PSP Customization and Modding - Aruren - 06-01-2009

PSP.Go has indeed been officially announced through Qore, it got leaked early by a day I think.

PSP.Go will be running on some wicked arse memory compared to the other PSPs, that's to make up for its lack of a UMD drive. (No UMD? Download-only content? Do I hear DRM coming...?) It's pretty disappointing since the original mockup had the entire front case as a screen and not only part of it, plus it was going to have an additional analog, they probably took it out thinking the PSP is better without it. It's going to be like a PSP3k Alternative or something.

What I think:
- It's a PSP rehash with a smaller screen and what seem to be crampier controls. Given the smaller size it has it probably has less battery life.

I'm not sure if the pirates will wanna crack this as they haven't made a homebrew that can load iso/cso files.

Well, the good news I can draw out of this is that this makes the PS3 Slim rumor sound more credible.

Looks like a decrypter for 5.55 games was released recently. But some games require a firmware GEN instead of M33.

I'm somehow debating if I should switch. Thoughts? Inputs? @_@

RE: PSP Customization and Modding - Lord_Leperman - 10-01-2009

Depends on the games you want to play. :p Does the GEN CFW have as much compatibility as the M33? I honestly don't know for myself sadly.

A lot of the new games do require OFW 5.55 and above, so if you're planning to play those it might be a good idea to switch if you know what you're doing.

RE: PSP Customization and Modding - Immaterial - 10-01-2009

That's it. :/

I want to play Disgaea 2. But I don't understand the things they say about the plugins of m33 not working on Gen. Honestly, the only plugin I used was what you gave me. And I would emulate in my Psp too.. Argh, the indecision. XD

RE: PSP Customization and Modding - Lord_Leperman - 10-01-2009

Well, good luck to you. :p I'm happy that mine can emulate PS1 games. Busted analog limits my selection Sad

RE: PSP Customization and Modding - Immaterial - 10-01-2009

Thats too bad. :/

I just want to know if I can switch backforth between firmwares? Blink

RE: PSP Customization and Modding - R.Leonhardt - 10-01-2009

no,i dont think so.

anyway,i'm planning to buy PSPGO on my birthday, was wondering if i could play downloaded games that aren't from the PSN store
