I forgot where I read it, others say Sunrise didn't design the Gundams in Seed and Seed: Destiny.
Not sure though.
It could be just a rumor.

got the chance to watch it yesterday, the story seems interesting and somewhat different from previous gundam series.
The new storyline srays away form the typical earth vs colony theme, it is now more like Full Metal Panic where the
"Celestial Being" organization is similar to Mythril which acts as an anti-terrorist peace keeping secret organization
possessing advance technologies.
The intro is good as expected, they used the song "Daybreak's Bell" by L'Arc-en-Ciel which has a cachy tune IMO.
All 4 gundams made their appearance on the first episode in combat.
As expected they are still overpowered but not to the extent of 1 armada - 1 hit kills
My comments on the gundams/pilots:
Exia - good with swords but a blind shot with guns.
The arm-mounder shield is like a swiss army knife where a blade and
a pistol is connected.
Dynames - the V design in the head shifts downward when in
sniper position, the pilot also has a special controller which
mimics the posture of an actual sniper during this mode.
Kyrios - very fast and agile in flight mode, can't comment
anymore than that since the humanoid form wasn't shown.
Virtue - has a high power energy cannon which it connects
directly into the gundam's chest where the its light reactor is placed.
Also has laser cannons mounted on its shoulders. It can also release "chaff"
like particles which interferes with electronic equipments withing range.
The pilot looks like a girl!

I haven't watched it yet, however, I did see some pics about the anime.
BTW, there was a pic showing Exia with wings, I wonder if this is going to like the those in V gundam, Turn-A or Destiny.

I'll really have to wait and see if I'll like this series, though I already have a character I like, which is the hotshot pilot that got shot down in the beginning (but survived). The Gundam pilots remind me too much of the Gwing boys and even one of them is currently mocking my dreams (The purple haired GUY! yes, a GUY! And I thought it was a girl! D: ).
The plot sounds ok at the moment, but I'll give it more time to develop. I imagine geo-political tensions similar to the Cold-War era between the East and West except that there's a super powerful private military intervening between the different organizations present in the Gundam 00. Oh, and I like the opening music :p.

Hehe, I got the same impression here too
Animation's pretty good and it looks interesting, however I still need to watch more eps. of this one. IMO, the strength of their MS is average, since they seem to be having some time taking out the normal MSs. I bet there's still 1 or 2 missing gundams on their team. (hmm no stealth specialized gundam :p )

the antagonists first mech had weird shields .... workable but a twirling twig doesn't count as a shield to me.... >_>
