Let's see, if the speedometer measures in kph and the fastest speed we can get is around 860 kph, then it's a definite "no" when it comes to trying to break the sound barrier. Out of mere boredom I decided to look up the speed of sound (in kph), and the speed of sound (at Sea Level anyway) is 1225 kph.
That answers that question, lol.
