- Black Dragon - 12-09-2006 Durability of heads on Heavyweights, tank ACs namely, should really be taken into consideration. You don't want too look helpless when your radar goes out and your stability to lower. - Crimson - 12-09-2006 Durability is an issue, but tanks generally have the hardest time keep heads intact because their heads are generally shot more because of people's DFA tactics, but it cant really be helped. As for the radar, since all tanks generally sport two back weapons, one the head is gone, so is the radar, tis a shame. lol. - maitreya - 12-10-2006 Mhmm.. But there are heads that last long, even when equipped on tanks. Based on experience, Drone, Eye4 and SR2 are very durable, and can go well with tanks. - Crimson - 12-10-2006 Im not saying there arent good heads for tanks, but I was saying that generally heads on tanks break faster because they are usually shorter in stature than the likes of Bipeds. Same could go for Quads imo. - Serene - 12-11-2006 Quote:What do you mean by that?Addresses to whom? - Black Dragon - 12-11-2006 <!--QuoteBegin-maitreya+Dec 10 2006, 12:34 AM--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE (maitreya @ Dec 10 2006, 12:34 AM)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> Mhmm.. However you definitely don't want EE to be your head - NiX - 12-11-2006 RACHIS? You mean the SPIDER? NO!!! If you're using a tank, definitely AVOID THAT HEAD. It blows up like halfway through a match. Yes, heads like S2 and S4 do last on tanks, but generally, you wouldn't wanna use a radarless head on a tank because you want guns on both back mounts. - Black Dragon - 12-11-2006 <!--QuoteBegin-NiX+Dec 11 2006, 09:33 PM--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE (NiX @ Dec 11 2006, 09:33 PM)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> RACHIS? [/quote:ea450f8190] That's weird, it lasts on mine (though I admit it's more fragile than S2) - wanzerfreak - 12-19-2006 i may have stumbled across something: s4 and s2 might be the better basic S-series heads in the game, but these two are quite fragile with the s4 being the most delicate. the s3 is incredibly sturdy that your core or legs would break before this thing does. - NiX - 12-19-2006 Really? I don't think I've ever seen the S2 or S4 break... I probably don't use them enough But that doesn't seem unlikely, because like I said before, from what I've noticed, FROM's idea of balance for LR was with part-breaking... all the parts that stand out too much seem to break faster than everything else. (ex. DINGO2, JAGUAR2, FA, GAZELLE, EYE3, etc) - strawhat_luffy - 12-19-2006 Quote:i may have stumbled across something: are you sure about that? I've seen the Cougar2 break plenty of times in battles, but I have never seen the s4 break in a match before. - Crimson - 12-20-2006 Im guessing thats because the legs are generally a larger target then heads are making them easier to hit multiple times. Like when someone is in the air and it hit from below, its their legs that are hit and damaged. In DFA tactics, I notice that the Core and even the legs are hit before the head is. Im not saying the head doesnt get hit, just less often than legs. |
