L1,L2 - Look Up/Down
R1,R2 - Move Right/Left
L3 - OB/EO
R3 - Extensions
Cross - Secondary Weapon/Event
Circle - Boost

I use these controls because I'm a purely right handed person...
And my left arm's reaction time isn't that sharp... [/quote:f8c7585360]
I can't imagine myself getting used to that button setup, but I can see its probably geared for dual-gunning, as the left and right arm weapon buttons are closer to each other.

Me, I use the default TYPE B controls. Although I had a friend back in PP who had triangle as his boost and square as his laserblade button.

i'm old skool.

type B all the way. Smile)

Hehe...
One time I took out a ranker AC, with one hand...
Using those controls since MoA...

Type-B.

The only modifications I have made to the controls is the switching of the Triangle and Circle buttons. This resulted in me no longer being limited to strafing left while using a dual-gun setup.

Sometimes my 'old school' habits kick in, and I find myself dropping my AUR instead of my AUL when my AUL runs-out of ammo. The reaction is so deeply-seated in my mind, it's second nature. I sometimes have to -think- about which button to press in order to drop the correct weapon.

I seriously didn't know it was possible to reassign buttons until a few months ago.

I was like, " Jawdrop ".

Lol, I found out in NX that you could.

The only reason I am a type A user is because I didnt notice the Type A/Type B selection in NX and I picked Type A and tried to pilot I was like "This crap is garbage, I wish I had the old controls" but then I ended up switching it to what I have now and didnt realize I couldve picked the traditional setup until later and it was too late as I was already adjusted to the new setup.

type A is winning man!!! Clapping

- Black Dragon - 12-16-2006

I'm a type B user. And no I don't modify the controls. I have a unique way of holding the controller. Ninja

- rober2 - 12-16-2006

I use type a with a liiiiiiiiiitle modification.

i replaced L3's function to circle. i always unintentionally press that button at the worst moment so there.

- Crimson - 12-16-2006

Care to elaborate? Roll eyes

How "unique" is "unique" for you? Tongue I press on circle using my right index finger.

- strawhat_luffy - 12-17-2006

type A with Ob/Eo on circle is what I use, though I sometimes switch back to the default.

Pointing finger on circle button and thumb on square and X button. Wait a minute, can you picture it? LOL

- NiX - 12-17-2006

Read my previous post.

Index finger = pointing finger.

Yes I can picture that, BD, cuz that's exactly the same way that I hold the controller.

And I use my middle finger to tap on R1 and R2.

That's why I told you you're not as unique as you think. Tongue

- Black Dragon - 12-17-2006

Whoops, I wasn't paying attention too much XD

Thoough I noticed a "bit of a problem" on that style though, but I'm not going to talk about that :ph3ar:

- Lord_Leperman - 12-17-2006

haha, I remember one of my friends back in MOA having this config:

Move foward: up
Move back: down
Strafe left: left
Strafe right: right
Triangle: Look up
Square: Turn left
X: Look down
Circle: Look right
L1: I think it was shoot
L2: Blade
R1: Boost
R2: Weapon select

An improvised Type A controls for the PSone Smile) (The one without any of the analog sticks)
Type A for the Type B user Smile)
