Rant: Having a crappy car is draining my wallet.. Not only do I burn cash with gas price(Php300 gas = nill), I also get to do it by maintaining it in a running condition.. Spent Php2500 in my recnt out takes with that crap. At least I'll be less prone to robbery while I'm in the car, and yet I think I'm getting robbed anyway

RANT: Damn, I need to serve in a parish this Sunday. According to our RE teacher, we are required to serve until September 7. That's no breaks for us, considering the fact that we have classes in Saturday too. No rest for the wicked huh?

Me: in front of makati cinema square, this motorcycle passed on the right us followed by a car. they were going really fast. I think they were drag racing. the motorcycle guy didn't have a helmet
Me: I think the bumper of the car touched his back wheel, and then he flipped into the air and started rolling on the street ON HIS BIKE
Me: NO HELMET
Me: when we passed his neck was in a weird position, his eyeballs looked like they were gonna pop out, and he was writhing on the ground with one arm outstretched
Me: legs were broken too
Me: the car behind him sped away and turned towards the skyway
Me: JUST SHIT.
Friend: did you call the emergency people?
Friend: isnt there an emergency hotline?
Me: someone else did.
Me: and a bystander got the plate number of the car
Me: AGH.
Me: the WHOLE scene was just so stupid

Well, I might sound like a total ass, but it's his(the motorcycle guy) fault anyway. Lyk BD said it IS the law to have helmets on while riding a bike. Also from a drivers point of view(my view), majority of the ppl riding bikes nowadays are suicidal A-holes, I mean they're just plain reckless drivers(overtaking and cutting cars like crazy). I heard from the news b4 that this yr, accidents including bikes(motor cycles and scooters) are rising by the week and majority of this cases include a drunk driver or 2(bikes a nd car drivers alike)...

I'm sorry to say this but I hardly feel sorry for any motorcycle riders getting into accidents. Pretty much every single one I've seen on the street deserves to get into an accident. I once saw a guy fly off a short distance from his bike after driving it into a pot hole. I'm heartless, I know, but I swear I laughed inwardly when I saw that.
With affordable motorcycles now widely available, more and more people are buying them... more and more bastards on the road... and the lot of them don't know shit about road rules. Many of them obviously don't even have licenses or registrations! I've lost count of how many bikes have lightly bumped or scratched my car because they were trying to squeeze in during traffic. Fuckers.
Tiny bikes with 4 people riding them, Scooters on the highway (where they aren't actually allowed), the driver has a helmet but the passengers don't... I could go on and on. How many of them are even insured? Huh? Huh?
They all piss me off.
EDIT: No offense to you Ardjin. Thank you for being one of the few responsible cyclists.
Oh and don't get me wrong: That car that ran away is a dick too. A murderous dick.
EDIT 2: And the cops! Our goddamn cops. I always see them flagging down cars with violations. Heck, they flag down cars even without a valid reason. I've NEVER seen them flag a bike down though for anything other than having no helmet. Bikes that beat the red light, bikes with passengers not wearing helmets, bikes counterflowing! I've never seen any of them flagged down. Motherfuckers.
EDIT 3: There was even this time this motherfucking biker was counterflowing and I almost plowed him down. Of course I kicked the brakes and stopped just in time. I opened my window and cursed his ass. And you know what? That son of a bitch just said, "Eh di sana sinagasaan mo nalang ako!!!"

Just in: A while back when I was driving home from cubao, a bike counterflowed and hit my sidemirror in full speed. The side mirror probably hit something hard on the bike cuz my sidemirror was bent and shattered.. And the fucker did'nt even slow down or looked behind to see what happened

Careless bikers are really fucking annoying. I almost got hit by one of them by just standing at the sidewalk a few days ago when I got back from school, and yes; I was even just beside the door of a sari-sari store. They all deserve to get assfisted.

I have to side with cars most of the time. It's not that I'm being callous to those who have motorcycles, but it's the fact that everyone's said already: that they really create their own accidents sometimes. Cutting and switching lanes, staying in your blind spots when they should be ahead or behind you, etc etc.
What really pisses me off are the jeepneys and FXs that stop abruptly at odd angles on the road. You're really left with no other choice but to wait until they've gotten their passenger and start off again, since they essentially block all traffic behind them. It gets really bad when you're travelling at a busy thoroughfare with only TWO LANES (lol Philippines), and the jeep in front of you veers suddenly to the right to stop, but he doesn't fully clear himself from your lane so you can't pass, and neither can the cars on the lane beside you. Sons of bitches indeed.
Also, I get really cheesed off when a jeep or FX or taxi or even a car overtakes me when I got on the goddamned lane first, then they try to stop in front of me to get passengers or to let them off. Goddamnit. Minsan lang talaga feel kong mangbangga ng jeep kasi hinihingi talaga nila, pero alam kong mas malaking sakit ng ulo pa yun.
Raffy and Jin know one of my other pet peeves: traffic enforcers where they aren't really needed. Most of the time, when left to themselves, drivers will eventually give way to one another on a busy intersection (o kaya gumagamit nalang sila ng diskarte). Some traffic jams really begin when a traffic enforcer comes to the scene and proceeds to stop traffic flow from one direction so that cars from the other directions can pass. That's literally creating a blockage on our streets, akin to having a stroke that paralyzes you because a clot blocked your blood flow. Where there was once slow, but moving, traffic there is now only traffic. Haven't our cops ever heard of chaos theory? Even the simple notion of traffic ahead is enough to create a placebo effect for most drivers that they have to start slowing down. And when they do that, the cars behind them slow down even more. What you need to keep cars flowing is to provide them with an idea of flowing traffic (it might be slow, but it's moving still). Also, the stop and go signals these people do is already done automatically, it's called a stoplight. Traffic ENFORCERS indeed.
Finally, even though I'm part of the great big mass, I hate rush hour. Fortunately for me I don't drive a car when going to work, commuting is so much easier.
