RE: The MANGA Thread - Lord_Leperman - 04-22-2009 Apocalypse Meow Vietnam war themed manga with animals representing different nationalities. The Vietnamese are the cats, the Americans are the Rabbits, and the Russians are the bears. This manga is very serious in its depiction of the Vietnam War from the soldier's perspective, and it deals with a lot of things like military tactics and the loss of life on the battlefield... Only executed with furry little animals. RE: The MANGA Thread - AppleHead - 05-13-2009 The real ending of School Days. RE: The MANGA Thread - clonezero - 05-14-2009 o_O oh yeah yuria 100 shiki is getting updated again XD :glee: EDIT: Karl Gotch and Noodles for the win RE: The MANGA Thread - NiX - 06-05-2009 Hell yeah. Gantz this week made up for shitty Naruto. I really hope mangaka man delivers as promised, for the next 3 weeks. Hopefully, we'll finally get REAL explanations. It's about freaking time anyway. RE: The MANGA Thread - Shintetsu - 06-11-2009 If you still haven't seen it, start reading Zero at OneManga. Chapter 53 is epic. And heartbreaking too. RE: The MANGA Thread - Hempire - 06-11-2009 tried to find a manga based or inspired by hemp....couldn't find one =( i found a lot of stuff about Japanese culture and hemp though... damn americans for supressing it =( RE: The MANGA Thread - clonezero - 07-02-2009 damn looking forward tot he next bleach update next week time for the vizards to come out RE: The MANGA Thread - azuriel07 - 07-02-2009 oookaaaay~ we have an otaku professor and he wants us... to read manga.. and search for fallacies.. he gave us a nice example.. naruto 448:memento pains reasoning when you love you learn to get hurt (you feel pain) when you're hurt you learn to hate when you hate you learn to hurt when you hurt others you learn to be hated when you're hated you learn to be hurt again when you're hurt again you learn to accept hurt you learn to expect hurt when you accept hurt you learn to stop hurting when you expect hurt you learn to stop hating when you learn to stop hating you learn to stop loving when you learn to stop loving you learn peace! conclusion: peace is hard to learn because love is hardest to unlearn... soo.. I need a manga with almost the same content... one with reasonings the same as pain... thx in advance.. RE: The MANGA Thread - clonezero - 08-03-2009 Currently reading Mobile Suit Gundam Developers an informative and funny prelude to Mobile Suit Gundam. RE: The MANGA Thread - NiX - 08-03-2009 Azuriel... slippery slope, tama ba? I think madali ka namang makakahanap ng ganyan. Any shonen manga will do. RE: The MANGA Thread - Aruren - 08-03-2009 @azuriel I will state the ff assuming it doesn't matter if this logical fallacy is pointed out later in the series or not. Try - "ima soko ni iru boku" aka "Now and Then, Here and There." (I can't remember much, but it gives a lot to think about) - Eden of The East (Presents stuff like "end justifies the means" and etc) - Medaka Box (might find something there more or less) - Gundam(s) - TTGL Actually if I thik about it, shonen manga usually exhibits fallacy one way or the other. And they either correct it or glorify it through appealing to emotions or something. RE: The MANGA Thread - Shintetsu - 08-04-2009 I say, to each his own. I read that chapter and read it like it was just a story. Not that I'm being boisterous or anything. It just didn't seem applicable IRL. RE: The MANGA Thread - Black Dragon - 08-08-2009 The World that God only Knows, Anedoki! (one of my favorite artists doing it lol) and Lost+Brain (to those who like Death Note, check this) @Shintetsu: You read To-Love-ru? Kotegawa Yui FTW!!! RE: The MANGA Thread - Shintetsu - 08-10-2009 Yeah. I really like her attitude and naivety. May pagka-tsundere pa Kaso iba talaga ang fanservice, she grew more bewbs as the series progressed. I'm also reading Ane Doki. Just finished reading up to the latest chapter of To-LOVE-ru, and just started Suzuka. Ang tao nga naman, pag walang magawa. RE: The MANGA Thread - Mjting - 08-10-2009 if only tsuderes were real. but if they were theyd be prolly more annoying than cute. |
