Rant: Our teacher in one major subject (Life Insurance II. A 1337 haXx0oRr subject) told us this week that most of us in the class are failing because most of us failed the the midterms exam. As of this week, that exam is the only basis for our grade (actually for the entire course, we only have three bases for our grade: midterm, prefinals and a final exam). So the professor, being a kind dude, offered us a deal: get at least 50% in the prefi and he'll give us a make-up exam for the midterms. But if we get lower than 50% in the prefi, we can forget passing the subject. He emphasized the importance of the course being a prerequisite to the last two major subjects in my curriculum and a prerequisite to OJT this summer. Of course we went for the deal. So it's back to the books and to locking myself up in my room for the next few weeks.
But I gotta hand to our prof for being strict, yet considerate. He said: "I can't always bail you out; you should show effort."

What an elegant way to communicate the situation. Most teachers have the exact same intentions but aren't able to relay it properly to the students, which often paints the former as being stiff bastards/bitches.

I just realized something wiered.. Me making fun of my "bad luck" is realy making me happy(more like less stressed). All I can say is that me voicing(and making fun of it) this out in the open is realy helping me a lot(which is prety ironic to say the lease)
