IIRC I think Fromsoft announced it (penalty points for abruptly ending matches) the first time players went online on VD, and recently I've seen someone complaining about the server on GFAQs.

The aquatic terror only held back its fury when ACV arrived to lul everyone into a false sense of security, and now with ACV:VD BAM! everyone trying to one up people by going under water suddenly gets bum fucked!

abruptly ending a match will penalize players to be not able to enter matches for the season. i really didn't know that the matches i enter are actually me fighting people. until yesterday...
i always though they're just AI's simulated to be human... until someone pointed out about matchmaking yesterday

well... with all the exhaust and boosters and exposed frames, i think it's only fair to have underwater damage... even if i like hiding in the waters as well.
