The Seiyū Awards are award ceremonies for the recognition of voice acting talent (seiyūWink for outstanding performance in anime and other media in Japan.

The first Seiyū Awards were held on March 3rd, 2007 at the 3D Theatre of the Tokyo Anime Center in Akihabara.

Kugimiya Rie alot...Including Alphonse Elric(not much known)

Maaya Sakamoto as Haruhi Fujioka ... She's also the one that sang in Escaflowne op theme, Tsuabasa Resevoir Chronicles ending theme,Card Captor Sakura themes and endings,(Most of my brother's soundtracks)

Romi Paku...Did Edward Elric...is she half-Korean or is she born in Korea?

Megumi Toyoguchi did Winry Rockbell and sang one of my fave songs

actually i found that when i was randomly browsing things on wikipedia.
Try searching "seiyuu" in wikipedia, it also has lots of links on related sites.

*sigh* this made me remember the big diference on how americans treats their seiyuu's in comparison to the japanese people..

in japan their stars

while in america they don't care ... the jap anime seiyuus in particular

I rmembered this because of what happened to Xenosaga 2 and the change of voices that was made... that really made me very sad T_T

Oh, so you're not the only one ranting about that. Xenosaga II just killed the Xenosaga series, it's nothing compared to the first one since the guy who made it left before the sequel was made.
In japan, there are even vocational schools offering voice
acting courses for those aspiring to become seiyuus.

They even have radio dramas here (mostly side stories of
existing anime titles).
Even some of them become singers if they became famous
enough (if they can sing of course). Happy
