Thats tough, I know id just about cry if I lost my memory card. Its almost like you have a personal connection with it lol.

I may be using the wrong words but that's what i think it did. What happened was it was saving a game (that was way back in late '99) when the save meter started going crazy. At first 50%, 70%, then 80% then back to 25% then it just went nuts.
Crap, when i booted up the PS1 again i found all my savefiles corrupted or missing and i couldn't save to the damn thing anymore.
So, it did die on me. From my POV.
Ahh, i get you. Something like that has never happened to me and i hope it never does *knocks on wood*
It hurts more if PSOne's dies on you right in the middle of the game your playing's ending...
