The Filipino Freethinkers is a close ally of the LGBT community, and while I'm not gay myself, I am against discrimination (especially religious discrimination) against them. Feel free to drop by the event - you can identify the FF as the guys who are going to be using extremely silly signs as a form of counter-protest against the expected picketing of religious fundies to the event. We're expecting to be a vanguard, so to speak.
Being a mecha fan myself, I'm thinking of carrying something like this:
