I need websites to watch...and I mean literally watch, without moving the mouse. Y'know, for those brain dead moments at work or from too much grinding?
For example, the
World Sunlight Map site offers up to date information on where the sun is shining in the world, and it
has a spherical view too.
There's also twittervision.com and
twittervision 3D, websites which constantly update world maps with people posting in the twitter network. The twitter network is something like a compressed blogging service where everyone has to answer one question only "What are you doing now?" or something like that.
The
Monterey Bay Aquarium live cams are nice too, but they only work 7am to 7pm PST. Liked the penguin cam the most.
Anyhow, would anyone know similar sites?
Yeah I have a few sites you can watch...
Oh wait.
>_<
Seriously, try
Swarm.
Embedded a fun swf file. Basically, you just push the buttons (on your keyboard or using the mouse) and misao-chan from Lucky Star will say something. It's even more fun if you turn on the BGM button on the bottom. It's also safe to use, and hosted on my domain.

waaah the bgm button has no stop feature >_< (well any that I see anyway)
anyway I remember something posted at the wtf section ... the one with a link to a jap site where there's an interactive flash of a mouse pointer moved around by people ... lol that could fit here.
Click on Miku and she'll tell you the time in Japanese

Click on the music note and she'll do a miku song for you.
Try not to wake her up at night.

Spacebar to stop the music. I'll try to find the flash you mentioned.
Nice find, are you a Miku fan?

I'm bringing back the original focus of this thread!
OK, before you go on and click the link, there's something you must know. This makes your browser do some crazy stuff. Don't click it if you don't know how to maneuver around using keyboard commands.
Also, I ran this on a Linux desktop... so I wouldn't know if it downloads trojans or some backdoor virus sickness to your hard drive. Don't come crying to me, I didn't make the website.
Regardless, it's a good tune. Like, Kuya Dick Roderick Paulate good.
OK, I've rambled on long enough.

Refreshes a semi hi-res view live webcam view of Tokyo every 15 seconds, which is a perfect example of what I was looking for in the OP post.
