A few days ago, Square Enix uploaded a new gameplay video of Front Mission: Evolved shown in the Tokyo Game Show. The video shows various aspects of the game from Wanzer selection to actual combat.

Though the play tester makes the game look somewhat sluggish, it should be noted that the game has the potential to be played much faster, as evidenced by the ability to shoot while dashing shown in the video.

Sengoku Gyōjin Dullahan

Upcoming samurai anime Sengoku Gyōjin Dullahan ~Kagen no Keishōsha (Dullahan: inheritor of the Crescent Moon), a re-imagining of Japan’s Sengoku period, just got itself a 90 second promo trailer showcasing the characters and the concept behind the whole show. The twist differentiating Sengoku Gyōjin Dullahan from other Sengoku era shows is having the characters wear power suits and armor instead of traditional samurai armor, essentially making it a futuristic-feudal-era anime. The 90 second trailer can be seen in their official site, in the link after the jump: Continue reading »

Zone of the Enders

A recent interview with Hideo Kojima hints at a possible production of a new Zone of the Enders game. The interview itself was mostly about Kojima Production’s upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, detailing the new features in the franchise’s latest installment. However, when asked if there will be any new or upcoming ZOE games, Kojima responds that ZOE is on top of a “to do list” of games. Girls, guns, giant robots and giant monsters!
All of the above blowing stuff up!

These things can be seen in this mindless and mind blowing trailer for the upcoming Japanese movie Assault Girls; a film that seems to have all the elements of an adrenaline pumping anime style, sci-fi action flick. Oh and I almost forgot, it has a story:

In the aftermath of global thermonuclear war, the Earth’s surface has been turned into a desert battlefield. Three beautiful female hunters: Gray (Meisa Kuroki), Lucifer (Rinko Kikuchi), and Colonel (Hinako Saeki) traverse the barren landscape armed with powerful assault rifles to fight a group of deadly sand-dwelling monsters called “sunakujira” (sand whales). When the the epic battle eventually seems to be coming to an end, the sparkle of muzzle flash dies down and assault ship flies overhead. Suddenly, a gigantic super mutation called “Madara Sunakujira” attacks.

Assault Girls will have a Japanese national premier after a limited screening on December 17, 2009.

Neogeo guy

Or in this case, living in a house with an awesome Neo-Geo games collection. However, I wouldn’t think that anyone would ever disgrace themselves in front of something like the Holy Grail. I would assume that the guy in the picture/video isn’t the real owner and he’s just a random sex offender out to sodomize the owner’s pet gerbil. He gets erotically stimulated by the presence of such an awesome Neo-Geo games collection instead and grabs the webcam in the room and starts showing off the collection as if it were his own, mooning his prized buttocks and stimulating his nipples in the process. Video after the jump, very NSFW: Continue reading »

A robotics hobbyist created this wonderful giant working beetle-bot that looks good enough to be in Terminator movie. A labor of love for many years, the RX-03 boasts an internal cockpit that can hold an average adult, a controller configuration that looks something out of Steel Battalion, and can actually walk under its own power. The TV news coverage of this machine beast after the jump: Continue reading »
