What Does Your World Conquest Look Like In AC5?

New screenshots showing what a global conquest map for AC5 is gonna look like. Start fantasizing about your dreams of global domination people. From our expert intelligent tactical Goat, he deduces that it will be a multi-faction war instead of the usual 2-3 factions fighting as in the previous AC games. Mercenaries themselves will have territory, but we’re a bit worried that the lack of an overarching corporation might damage the story, which isn’t much of a loss as AC’s story wasn’t one of its strengths.

Armored Core 5 Developer Interview

A whole lot more info popped out thanks to this Gamespot interview with Mr. Toshifumi Nabeshima, the producer and director of the Armored Core series. From his words, there are going to be radical changes to the series formula, emphasizing more on greater online content while maintaining the core gameplay the series is known for. Seriously, From leaves us in the dark and shows us this! This is our moment guys! AC5 better push through or I’ll have to start threatening Fromsoft with real bullets. We love the way they portrayed ACs as military machines part of an etire combat unit instead of a simple one-robot-army, and this really gets us excited.

AC Chronicle Artworks Interview Summaries

As mentioned earlier, the artbook packaged with the Japanese version of LR:P came with concept sketches of AC5 and an interview with series director Toshifumu Nabeshima.

Armored Core Chronicle Artworks Gallery

Here’s a collection of scanned images from the AC Chronicle Artworks included in the JPN edition of Armored Core Last Raven Portable released earlier this month. The artbook contains stills and scenes from various Armored Core intros, as well as the concept designs for Armored Core 5, and an interview with series director Toshifumi Nabeshima. From released some concept art for the upcoming Armored Core 5 inside the AC Chronicle Art Works booklet that came with Last Raven Portable, which gives us a glimpse of what AC designs and what parts to expect in the upcoming game. From the looks of things, the designs seem a little more bulky and gritty compared to Armored Core 4 and For Answer. More pictures after the jump:

Looky Look, A Clear Version of the Armored Core 5 Trailer!

Down below is the newly released Armored Core 5 trailer similar to the one shown at the end of Armored Core Championship Tournament Season 2. Much of the details obscured by the video quality of the previous version have now been reviled. Even with the full view, we still have no idea what that new spinning, burning screw-saw is really supposed to be aside from being an obvious over-sized melee weapon.
