Ballsiest Way To Defeat The Final Pulverizer

Get ready for an upset...

The Final Pulverizer is a big blue menace. Fast, hard hitting, and nigh unstoppable for the rookies of Armored Core, it fittingly deserves the position of being the final boss of Armored Core Last Raven (Once the player unlocks all missions and ending paths).

Sure there are various methods of defeating Armored Core Last Raven's secret boss for the series' veterans (The seemingly useless Parry Blades for example), but by far the ballsiest way to kill the damn thing is by using nothing more than the starter AC. This also works for players seemingly strapped for cash in-game (how you run out of money at this point of the game, we don't know). Hit the jump for the video:

Updated: Armored Core Championship Tournament Season 3 Preliminary Results

The official From Software sponsored Armored Core Championship Tournament has completed its preliminary round for its 3rd season and uses the recently released Last Raven Portable on the PSP platform. The well documented tournament has a wonderful set of videos coming from the Kinki and Tokai prefectures of Japan as of the moment.

A quick look on the new videos reviles the absence of new parts included by From from any of the Portable series releases, which leads us to think that the top players in this tournament prefer tried and true formulas rather than embark on a risky experiment with their designs. In addition all the designs used the very powerful TP booster, which was banned in many tournament circles outside Japan as well as our very own Philippine Armored Core Tournament for the past 5 iterations. Much of the fights also boil down to a war of attrition, with hangared pulse weapons and handguns taking center stage.

Armored Core Last Raven Portable Released & Related News

From Soft’s Armored Core Battle TV

Some interesting developments in Armored Core's official website. From seems to be launching a replay based broadcast service upon the release of Last Raven Portable early this March. Speculations run that the service will allow players to upload and download various replay battles that builds upon Armored Core: Last Raven's ability to save and load battle replays, a first for the series on the PS2, and likely the feature is being ported over to the PSP version as well.

Suddenly, we're getting this idea of roving caravans of LR player teams all over Japan with their PSPs duking it out with other AC groups and posting the replays on Armored Core Battle TV. No news if this service will also be accessed when the international English version does get released.

In other news, From released a variety of Armored Core based themes for the PSP, go check them out as well.

Thanks NiX for the heads up.

Armored Core Retribution ACs Featured in Last Raven Portable

Dengeki Online Magazine has released a new batch of screen shots for the upcoming Armored Core Last Raven Portable, and these compelling screen shots show that one more additional item that seems to be missing from the Last Raven Portable extra parts list.

It seems that ACs featured in Dengeki Hobby Magazine's own Armored Core Retribution published back in 2007 will be featured in the game, much like how the Victoria AC from Brave New World was featured in Silent Line Portable.

From the screen shots, we can see that this new arm part will function as a shield given its arm position, unless there are last-minute changes in its design and function for the final release. Additional screen shots after the jump.

Armored Core Last Raven Portable Extra Parts Revealed
