Where? at my house in virginia.

When is tricky- depends on my players' availability. Tuesdays, Thursdays or Sundays usually- sometimes multiple days a week. Average session lasts, oh, around 5 hours.

PILOT INFO

Name: Dianne Kristoff
Callsign: January
age: 28
height: 5'10"
weight: a little underweight
nationality: Russian
gender: Female

Appearance:
Dianne stands at around 5'8" with long auburn hair coming up to her waist when not tied up in a bun. Her skin is a rosy white, rough on the hands from battle with scars here and there, but otherwise smooth on the rest of her body. Thanks to her active lifestyle she has an hourglass figure with a B cup bust. Her eyes are icy blue in color, set below eyebrows that tend to come together giving her a stern look. Many mistake her for being always angry, when in fact she is not. Many have noted however she has an intimidating beauty about her. She prefers clothing that covers her completely, jeans, long skirts and long sleeve shirts or sweaters. There are two reasons for this, one she grew up in cold weather and as such has grown accustomed to it, the other is to keep her figure from the malicious eyes of most men.

Background:
Born into a poor family in the frigid northern lands of what is left of Russia, Dianne was introduced to hardship very early. Her parents passed away when the factory they were working in was attacked by another country's invading force. Only five at the time, along with her elder brother, she was sent to a refugee camp. Here they spent two years doing odd jobs around the camp and the nearby villages. Their time together ended however when her brother went missing after going into a nearby village for work. As luck would have it, the government relocated the refugee camp soon after forcing Dianne to abandon her search for her brother. The next five years of her life was spent in a refugee settlement at the outskirts of the provincial capital. She called no house her home and lived on the street with others like her. On her 12th year a group of rebels passed through the settlement looking for fresh blood to join their ranks. Dianne had no interest in the group but instead on one of the rebel's pistol. Little did she know that the man he tried to rob was the leader of the dissidents. The old man however, took an interest in her and took her in promising her power much more than what a pistol can offer.

Her stay with the revolutionaries lasted eleven years. By then she had gone through what passes as ranks in the group and was one of the leader's trusted officers. During these years she trained and became intimately familiar with warfare, especially piloting. Due to the nature of the group, she gained experience in situations where they are at a disadvantage. Ultimately one of the officers defected to the government and led a strike against the rebels. In the battle, the leader, and what Dianne considers as her second father, died. Many of the other officers were apprehended and thus the group was dissolved. Dianne on the other hand was spared as she was away on a scouting mission when the attack happened. It was then that she vowed to avenged the old man and to hunt down the traitor.

Alone again on her 23rd year, Dianne went into the mercenary trade in hopes of finding the traitor. In her search she came across the Lee twins, who were courtesan assassins at the time. After a mission that went horribly wrong, the two decided to team up with Dianne as a debt of gratitude and to finally have more freedom. Two years passed with very little progress on her hunt for the traitor. It was at this time however that she took on a mission to steal a prototype weapon from Corporation X. The trio known among mercenaries as "The Calendar Girls" then went to intercept Max and an early version of the Blazing Palm. The mission was a failure, however Max seeing the potential in the three and needing more capable test pilots offered them a job with the corporation.

After three years with the Corporation, she still has not found the traitor who killed her father. However, she has made progress thanks to the connections the corporation has. According to her informant, the traitor betrayed the Russian government and is now working as mercenary.

As a pilot:
January's piloting career started when she was around 13. The rebel group she was brought into trained their pilots young. At the time of writing, she has 15 years of piloting experience. She has considerable knowledge of guerrilla warfare, and fighting multiple opponents due to her time with the rebels. Majority of these encounters are also with formally trained military units, and sometimes even special operations units. As such, she also has a working knowledge of their usual tactics and stratagems and how best to defend against them. Being a sniper she has also grown accustomed to what various units look like, even from a long distance. After her time as a rebel, she became a mercenary. This added a bit of variety to her knowledge, but the stint was short so she did not acquire as much new knowledge. As part of the Corporation X security team she often helps in coming up with the defense plans along with Mad Cat. She has also adapted what knowledge she has for defense of the corporation from various attackers.

Unique traits/quirks/etc:
Dianne is part of the group known among mercenaries as "The Calendar Girls". The members consist of female pilots who has a calendar month as part of their name or callsign. Physical beauty is of importance to be part of the group. Skill as a pilot is only secondary. The group originated on a subsection, particularly for female pilots, of a popular mercenary hiring board. The group is purely cosmetic and is not to be taken as an organized force.

T-T i give up. too many thoughts, not enough skill and will to actually write em down neatly. McCale i PM'ed you a list of my ideas.

talk of terminator reminded me of Skynet which reminded me of GLaDOS, SHODAN and that AI in the first RE movie..so i thought what if we put that in an AC like world.

"Angelica"

background:
this boss is a rogue hive mind AI that is in control of a secluded military research and development facility. the original purpose of the AI was as an automated defense system. usually these kinds of systems were kept on a single computer, however to ensure that it was not easily sabotaged, the system was designed to run on multiple machines. the initial idea was to have multiple back-ups, however the potential in parallel computing was quickly noted and the system was upgraded. at that time, the lead programmer christened the system "Angelica" saying that this digital angel shall show peace and order, yet smite those who would do harm. the system was also given a female child's voice.

the system worked more or less as intended, however some key aspects were lacking, specifically how inflexible the system was. after all, no matter how fast it was at computing, it had a limited knowledge to base its actions on. as such, the system was modified to allow it to "learn". since the system was already being run on multiple machines, the choice was easy to adapt a hive mind/swarm intelligence. as the project continued, "Angelica" was fed information on thousands of different battles, engagements, units, pilot data, tactics and strategies. over time the software was also integrated to all of the base's systems, including hundreds of military grade mechs both piloted and unmanned. it was also linked to the base's production facilities to speed the process of integrating the system to newly made units. no one knows exactly when Angelica became rogue (Angelica at first is like ADA from ZOE. she knows she is an AI, but she does not go against her programming). however the military officially reports that the AI's programmer taught the AI how to go against its programming.

goals and methods:
first and foremost, Angelica is not out to destroy the human race, nor to subjugate it to claim robots are superior. this AI system only wants peace. sadly, it happens that it believes that anything can be solved with the proper application of force, no thanks to the data that was fed to her. she also knows the importance of secrecy however and just how cunning humans can be; something that she also reflects. as such, she is very careful in wielding her immense power and practically trusts no one, except possibly her programmer*. she prefers covert operations and manipulating humans by tampering with their military systems, communications or even directly controlling units to start conflicts. she has started numerous battles between corporations, conflicts within mercenary groups and even war amongst countries with the parties involved not even knowing.

*the poor lady is in a cryostasis pod protected at the heart of the base. Angelica believes that the head programmer is her mother and will do anything to make a peaceful world for her. even if that means wiping the planet of humans save for those she deems worth saving.

other stuff:
i thought of Angelica as a end game "puppeteer" boss that cant actually be destroyed, only weakened and sealed (confound you parallel computing!). of course, things may be different if her programmer is freed. good luck on that tho. challengers (im assuming a squad) will have to face more units than they have bullets for, and the risk that Angelica will take over their unit for herself. dont forget the networked intelligence that makes all of her forces act practically as limbs for one gigantic omniscient entity. she is also not stupid to underestimate humans making sure her base is also well equipped with anti-personnel traps, and units, as well as humans fanatics loyal to her cause.

PS: yeah, i was kinda in a "god mode" mindset while writing that...adjust as you see necessary XD
