1. Go to your favorite video.

2. Add "&fmt=18" at the end.

For example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji5_MqicxSo
becomes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ji5_MqicxSo&fmt=18

3. Profit!

* It only works on some videos (if the original uploaded file is of better quality than what's on youtube).

** Watch that video if you want to be a better person. I'm not being sarcastic for once.

Also, has anyone tried Joost yet?

Have you made it work? I can't watch any of the shows since the distributors don't have rights to show them over here. It's kinda like the whole Philippines is IP banned from using the technology, which is a shame since it's quite a good idea.

I'm not yet done with that one, but I watched his speech at the CMU commencement exercises and he delivers pretty good points on living life. Admittedly it's kinda cheesy to have a dying man spout off lessons to people, but that doesn't make those lessons false.

Banned? I was watching MADtv through Joost a few months back. Maybe I'll try now.

Update on the situation: either something was broken with Joost yesterday or I was being dumb by not activating my profile through the email the system sends.

Either way, I can now watch Adult Swim and Sports Illustrated channels on demand. Hooray for P2PTV.

This is no longer a thread on hi-res YouTube.

A much better alternative to an actual TV + DVD or going to the movies. Contains a surprisingly fresh and updated selection of movies, TV shows, anime, sports, documentaries and kid's shows.

Wow.
