Ah, yeah remember Jets n' Guns very well. I've played it to death
For those who aren't familiar with Jets n' Guns Gold, its a shmup made by an indie game developer with an awesome soundtrack made by a Swedish band called Machinae Supremacy who composed over 50 minutes of original tracks for the game.
The game itself reminds me of a side-scrolling version of Tyrian 2000 and Raptor: Call of the Shadows (For those who remember, I know, we're old). It has an upgrade shop system where you can purchase different weapons and upgrades using money collected from missions (by blowing stuff up, as usual). A great game that kept me occupied for some time until I finished it, so its really easy to recommend.
Right now I'm on a shmup fest. I'm playing G-Darius for the PC c/o home of the underdogs (http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?id=3926) and have finally found a copy of R-Type Final, to which I'll be playing again soon. I'll also go back to Einhander and R-Type Delta if I can still find my copies of the games.
