When they run you over, you get dragon damage. Lao's foot does dragon damage >.>

Teostra's fire breath is actually terrain damage and not standard fire. Teostra can also run you over <.<

Akantor doesn't even shoot projectiles except for the tornado-possibly-one-hit-KO from his mouth, so lots of dragon damage from it too.

I am! Too bad it got nerfed to oblivion in 2G, and the upgrade to make it a low tier, semi-decent weapon comes midway through the game.

Curses!!!!Chair

So, what bows are still decent hitters in 2nd G? They're my bread-and-butter weapon, aside from the LS, SH, and Hammers.

Currently saving up for Dragon Bow Earth.

I put up a list for the best end game weapons of MHP2G here.

Just a simple skin upload this time. The real picture is of the tigrex from MHF2 official art, but I changed the wallpaper. I really like the xmb bar's looks. If anyone wants, I can upload a few of my MH walls, too.

@TS: More bad news for your Prominence Bow. On a monster that's weak to fire, in most cases the normal Naruga and Ceanataur Bows are stronger than the fully upgraded Prominence Bow V >.>

Here's a wallpaper I made for someone on SoCroda. Hunter in Los armor against a Silver Los. Second is of a felyne on bbq duty.

Something I cooked up for the humor section of our news blog:

Lemme know what you guys think.

The javelin sounds like a good idea, although it might be more like throwable lances instead of the disposable knives, which probably means you'd have to physically retrieve it after every throw.

Now that I think about it, that's going to be one headache of a weapon to use because of its difficulty - but we all love impossible obstacles in this game, don't we?

RE: MHF2 and MHP2G (PSP) - clonezero - 07-06-2008

it would be more of a pain and nuisance as a player weapon I think its better as a felyne warrior ranged weapon but with an atk. power penalty...

the giant boomerang on the other hand is rather plausable and would be rather fun to use (well in comparison to dinky boomerangs)

I wish I can draw I've been thinking some stories 4koma style X_X

Regarding the javelin.

Based on what I've read so far, a combat javelin (not the one used in sports) is usually a one-shot deal.

Take the Roman Pilum for example: It spearhead was designed to deform on hitting hard targets like a shield or a breastplate to ensure that it would be extremely difficult to pull out. This also had the effect of forcing the shield bearer to drop his shield due to the javelins added weight.

The Pilum's shaft is also designed to shatter. The idea was once it was thrown, there was no way for the enemy to use it again you. It also ensured that its didn't get knocked out of the target.

Hi. No idea why no one replied to this yet! Maybe because Sforza is a staff member now on SoCroda and he didn't notice your entry. Here's a hammer video for Tigrex:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/sh025c5f0A4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sh025c5f0A4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And here's a GS video!

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/tanLI88hOHM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/tanLI88hOHM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I find tanking it with a lance the easiest though. No need to even post a video for that.

TBH, I just spam it with a bow - I usually strafe its when it's charging, and pop it another time when it's turning.

RE: MHF2 and MHP2G (PSP) - Sforza - 07-16-2008

TS, I sent you something MH related over pm.

RE: MHF2 and MHP2G (PSP) - clonezero - 07-23-2008

@trigex vid post: I use or try to use GS for everything, slow but it helps a lot with breaking ... Im still not good at hammers

just wondering why the guy use power seeds instead of drugs?

@ardjin: while the bow is drawn and after you've selected the coating you want press triangle and square at the same time.

Response to below: no problem and sorry for my cluttered messages I will be uncluttering them now XD

It's actually triangle and circle.

The atk/def bonus of drugs doesn't wear off, but even the mega versions gives roughly only half the bonus of the seeds. The seeds do wear off, but they stack with the drugs. Most people actually use both, but they seem to be using seeds only because they need to re-use the item a lot more often.
