I'll start with this question:

What's a program that can rejoin partitioned movie files (wmv, etc)? >_<
You mean movie files which are really split into parts, and not because of an outside archive program? Well...

I do that manually. In Windows Movie Maker. XD
And how is that done? >_<

I'm talking about movie files with a .001, .002 etc at the end that aren't separated by winrar, for instance. >_<
I forgot the name of the file, it's like winrar, but it can rejoin everything, even if separated by a different application. Though I can't look at the file since it's in my PC, and it's on service this time.

Try googling that, I did that before when my winrar couldn't rejoin my downloaded ISO 001 files. With a bit of luck, I got the file.
I think it's called 7Zip.
Wow 7zip worked. Thanks guys!
Does anyone here know how to repair heavily scratched ps2 disks by using household items?

I need to fix one of my LR disks.
Sorry man dunno.

But after a good wiping, try to copy the the DVD using these programs:

<a href='http://majorgeeks.com/AnyReader_d5159.html' target='_blank'>http://majorgeeks.com/AnyReader_d5159.html</a>
<a href='http://majorgeeks.com/Dead_Disk_Doctor_d5122.html' target='_blank'>http://majorgeeks.com/Dead_Disk_Doctor_d5122.html</a>
<a href='http://majorgeeks.com/IsoBuster_d4717.html' target='_blank'>http://majorgeeks.com/IsoBuster_d4717.html</a>

Then maybe you can try burning them onto a new DVD.

OR you can do what Rick did and just download LR from the net. Tongue
I don't recommend this but we used to use baby oil to at least temporarily cover the scratches.

But... unfortunately, iit's seems like it's a double edged remedy.

Kasi, sooner or later, it may take it's toll on you PS2.
Try at your own risk.
@ NiX
Pwede yun? makapaglalaro ka kahit na burn lang sa DVD?

@ Serene
Bat mag mamantika yung PS2? I'l give that a try. I also tried toothpaste, pero walang nangyari. Pwede din daw yung metal polish na "Brasso".....

Balak ko sana na bumili nalang ng bagong disk, chineck ko yung website, sabi dun in-stock, pero nung nagpunta ako sa store sabi wala. I've been to 5 retailers but all they've got is AC3.
Hanap ka nalang ng downloadable ISO ng LR and then burn it onto a DVD nalang like what Rick did. Assuming your PS2 is modified, of course. >_<

Does that Dead Disk Doctor Program really work?

Cause it smells kinda fishy... Ermm

you sure its not trojan'ed or anything like that? And how does it work? can you only re-copy DVD's with it or does CD's work as well?
Not a trojan. It's from Majorgeeks.com, a pretty trustworthy site when it comes to software downloads.

"Dead Disk Doctor is a software that allows you to copy disk files.

The idea based on two types of errors (input/output error and path/file access error). Routine reads file by 10kb blocks and when hardware involves errors, the size of block decrease tenfold and so on until the moment when block of data will be read without any errors, or it reach minimum size of block, then program skips one byte and starts to read second one. After successfully reading data, block size increase tenfold again and again to reach maximum size - 10kb."

That's the program description anyway. Theoretically, it should work on both DVDs and CDs alike.
is there any media player besides VLC and WMP that plays MKV files? it's not coming up in WMP, and the subs don't show up in VLC.
I haven't tried this program yet but the description does say that it can play .mkv files.
