I was surprised to see this. I bought the September Issue of Game Master, it turns out to be the last one.

I love this mag, the reviews are nice and the price is reasonable. Plus, it's from Noypis as well. They made a lot of progress ever since 2003 and here it ends.

I'll miss this mag
They probably didn't feature enough Armored Core.

Meh.
and like typical noypis, the copy-paste stuff from other sources like lamespot and Inorant Gaming Nub-breaths

and don't forget the typos, plus the fact that it mostly focuses on those damn korean online crap.
Nah, they don't seem to concentrate on those anymore.
If anything, that would be the other mag (I believe it's called "Game!", another Phil mag)
Actually, I liked them... too bad they're gone now. And I was going on quite a streak too! I have every issue from #9 up until the last one. I too, was quite surprised to when I bought the September issue... now I'm going to have to go back online for that stuff. I guess the latter's faster information-wise anyway. And if wanzer's right (which I think he probably is), most of the stuff in the mag can be found there anyway. :meh:

Still, that last issue reeked of sadness though. You could tell it, from the words to the layout to the colors they used. I guess it always sucks to be shut down.
i've been fantasizing about running a game magazine that doesn't have the word "game" in the title LOL

and it features articles written by real gamers instead of game journalists. no frills, just pure hardcore gaming goodness.
Sounds good... Not that easy... but good...

I've read the mag, just once but I liked it...
I think the cover was about ZOE...

I liked it...

Is it really gone?

Yes.

But there is slim chance it may come back again.

EGM was shut down for some time? :whut:

Never knew that.
Can't remember it correctly if it's EGM or another mag.
It's GameNOW now LOL

But sadly, it was again "game over" for them :hmm:
I remember Culture Crash tuloy...

They shut down probably because they're always late...

But I don't think it happened the same way with GM

Summit Media probably decided that the mag wasn't making much money so they canned it.

Maybe i haven't gotten enough issues but the only time i saw anything about AC was a preview of AC4 in the august issue and a mini-review of Ninebreaker in the july issue, which they gave a measly rating of 41%.

BTW, when did CCCom shut down? I remember the last issue i bought was in january of 2005, the one with Dante on the cover (the end of the fight in which he runs Elias through with his oversized knife). Which issue was their last one?
Their last issue is 16... Elias just died...

I don't know really, when they shut down... Hell~ They didn't even give us a notice, That's why I still peek in bookstores and 711 stores to check since 2 months after Issue 16...

HELL! I decided to take Fine Arts because of those guys! I've always wanted to work with them... They gave hope to the -I think, now dead- Filipino Comic Book Industry...
