Final Plans:

Random selection of partners starts at 1:00 PM. But previous PACT placers cannot partner with each other. Their starting points on the bracket will be predetermined.

As soon as everyone has a partner, there will be one hour for preparing/modifying ACs and strategizing.

During the preparation time, each pair will be given a maximum of 15 minutes on a PS2 to modify their ACs. The pair declares their ACs for use and a marshal checks them for PACT-compliance. We're only using standard PACT rules.

We'll be pretty strict with this 15-minute thing so please at least have a good idea of what ACs you'll want to use. This time will only be for MINOR ADJUSTMENTS and for synergizing with your partner.

Other rules are just the usual. Banned maps as before. Bunutan para sa map every round. Best of 3 for the regular matches and best of 5 for the finals, 5-minute time limit, blah blah.

Most probably no need for AP-point system in this one. Magulo pa eh.

For the brackets, we'll use those indicated in tournamentdesign.org
If 5 pairs enter - triple elim
If 6-8 pairs - double elim

As soon as everyone has already declared their ACs, the tournament can begin. Let's set it at 2:30 PM.

Tournament itself will probably take around 4 hours.

And... I think that's it.

Good luck to everyone.
PACT III/IV.

But specifically, I'm all for the 4th one; no repeating parts, 2 ACs, leg classes repeatable. Big grin

2 on 2 also sounds neat, but I've already voted for PACT III-IV. D:
Armored Core Tag Tournament *giggles...at the corner of the room* LOL

pick or random partner
2 vs 2
2 rounds
1 AC
KO! Domo

=^.^=
I voted for PACT 4, because I'm pretty familiar with the system already. Other than that, its the most balanced tourney format we've had. I'm all for other game types as well though, its just that PACT4 rules are my preference.

I'd like to see a Godzilla match though Big grinBig grinBig grin if only there were effective rules for it.
People will not be happy if they lose in the tournament because of a partner that's not good enough. It will cause bad blood.
nah, this is more of a "for fun" gig than anything else. no one in rr really takes things to a personal vendetta for losing games....not unless we get PAIDED for playing. Tongue

Maybe if this were PACT I. But as it is, RR's just too chilled to get pissed at each other over something like that LOL
I understand what you're saying Apple, but yeah, Mark's right. No one here really does that: we've been gaming together for about two years now and I haven't seen anyone blow a fuse yet.

You can take games and tournaments seriously, but when you start hating people you played with for whatever reason, you're taking it too seriously.
If I'm ever gonna play for the heck of it, it'll be in a ROYAL RUMBLE match.

I'll be the one AC that sits in a corner, aiming cannons, then flee, then repeat cycle LOL

Obviously though, if it's a serious tourney, PACT IV is the way to go.
Btw, even if we do it pact 4 style, we can probably still fit in a royal rumble tourney. It'll probably take 1 hour at best since 4 people can play at a time. Tongue

^ Person who hates everybody Ninja
um... so as it goes. PACT V will have either:

-PACT IV format for "serious" match tourney Ninja

-2 vs 2 for a "twist" Salute

-royal rumble...for fun! Clapping

sound very good to me Shades

question: is it possible that we can have multiple tourneys? if others would like to have the single match, 2 vs 2 or the royal rumble.

=^.^=
u guys want to have money involved? so the winner gets PAIDED after?!
Hahah mabilis lang naman gawin yung royal rumble eh so madali lang yun isingit.

Yung 2on2, kahit 8 lang kasali ok na. Mabilis lang din siguro yun.

1on1 actually yung matagal.

So yeah, we can actually probably do all. Tongue
