NASA's global warming satellite falls to Earth

It gets worse - NASA's expecting to get a big budget cut during Obama's term. Facepalm
Internet Explorer 8 was released 2 days ago I think.

I'm testing it out right now and I must say that it's very impressive for IE. Tongue It's SO much faster than IE7.
Yeah, I read that article too. Awesome news, but I'm doubtful that it'll be any good for us here in the PH hahahahah. At least not for several years.
no fiber optics, no streaming games, and the market is not yet ready, but i really hope to have one T_T
The Pirate Bay guys are found guilty and have been sentenced to jail. Interesting tech news indeed.

Also, something completely unrelated, but using Linux is suspicious behavior now.

Interesting indeed, but that won't stop people from torrenting all the way to treasure land. LOL
Space Based Solar Power Satellite Program from PG&E and Solaren

Quote:Now PG&E is taking their approach at tapping renewable energy to an entirely new level: solar power in space.“Solaren says it plans to generate the power using solar panels in earth orbit, then convert it to radio frequency energy for transmission to a receiving station in Fresno County. From there, the energy will be converted to electricity and fed into PG&E’s power grid.” ~ Next100.com

The advantages of space solar power include:

energy that can be harnessed at all times, even at night or when it’s cloudy.
baseload power delivery that makes efficient electricity possible to meet customer demand.
an underlying technology that is mature since it is based on communications satellite technology.
Before all this happens however, PG&E needs approval from the California State Legislature, through the California Public Utilities Commission for this Solaren Space Based Energy Contract. Currently, Solaren is preparing to launch space rockets containing the solar panels and they have been working with United Launch Alliance (a joint venture of Lockheed Martin and The Boeing Company) on such launches.

Researchers Find Signs of Zombie Macs (aka a Trojan botnet)

Malware hunters at Symantec have discovered a direct link between a malicious file embedded in pirated copies of Apple’s iWork 09 software and what appears to be the first Mac OS X botnet launching denial-of-service attacks.

As a PC user, all I will do now is...lawl
@Sforza

Hmph. Amateur. This is how you lawl at Mac owners:

Some nasty tech news right now, I see.

I enjoyed that one about macs though. I'll admit that Apple makes good products. I just can't stand the people that buy them.

Hater.

Tongue
'Oh, Macs are immune to viruses.'

Let's see them drop their jaws to that.

From that video, one thing I've concluded that will possibly come in the future is improved cyber6.
