http://news.yahoo.com/apple-says-steve-j...28633.html

I'm sure you've all heard this somewhere else. But I suppose it's still worth reposting.

Steve Jobs resigns from his CEO post in Apple.

Let's buy Apple stocks!
Sorry for the dumb question, but how would we benefit from buying Apple stocks right now?
It's really low right now because of the announcement. Should go back up and stabilize again soon enough.

Chinese gaming console

i hope it wont explode!!
Disaster foreseen as early as now.
Kinda designed for the wii crowd in mind. What really caught my attention:
Quote:Games consoles are not technically legal in mainland China,
Sad
Armored Front 13: Soul Horizon ?!? a space based date management sim .... only on the isec LOL

but really I find it hard for them to get game producers to work with them considering their government likes to fling massive amounts of red tape at just about anyone.

man I wonder how this turns out.
Intel to Finally Provide TRIM Support in RAID0

well, its about time... oh wait... its not even out yet [Image: 45.gif]
Most of you have seen stuff like these before, but still; regarding technology, another blooming just happened recently due to the sun's flare. Not to mention that's the strongest flare since like, 5-10 years? LOL

Quote:You might have noticed the flare looked like an elongated diamond. That’s not real! It’s a digital artifact; what’s happening is the flare got so bright it overwhelmed the pixels in the SDO detector. These collect light like a bucket collects rain. If too much light hits them, they overflow into the neighboring pixel. This flare was so bright it flooded the detector, and created that effect — technically called blooming.

Oh and before you say it (we're in danger! 2012!), it's just another anomaly that doesn't do much. It could disrupt communication due to the radiation, but then again that only concerns people in aerospace afaik. Satellites may be trolololled too though, which also brings me to the point... of blaming the sun in advance.

Because I'm probably going to have some bad connection issues in ACV.

Bah. I don't want to post it on the SOPA/PIPA/etc thread.
The Samsung Galaxy Beam - a smartphone with a built-in projector

http://mashable.com/2012/02/26/samsung-b...-Beam-Face

Seriously, I fucking love the name - it sounds like a super robot final attack

Point the phone at the wall, yell "Galaxy Beeeeaaaaaaammmm!!!" while doing a Kamen Rider/Ultraman final attack pose. Or if you're a girl, do something out of Sailor Moon Big grin
