Really old AC guide (Web archive link, since the original site is down. I found some of the pics in Who's who in AC from the same page as well):

Pretty much covers the basics. Some ideas and tactics might be outdated by NX, NB, and LR standards but the basics still hold true such as the vs. human section, though it may be a bit more of general guidelines rather than an in-depth how-to guide.
EDIT: I should mention that the focus of the guide is AC3-SL era game mechanics.
