RR Goes To Vigan!

OK, I believe this is the latest update I’ve ever done. Sorry folks.

Last January 9 to 11, a number of the ravens went up north to this idyllic little slice of history called Vigan. For those of you who don’t know about this place, it’s basically famous for it’s colonial Spanish era-style houses and cobblestone streets. It’s also been named as a World Heritage Site. You can read more about it on Wikipedia.

I didn’t get to go to this one, which was a major bummer since the guys had a ton of fun. So you can join me in my misery as we read through an excerpt of Fox’s recounting of day two:

After finding a spot to leave the Eggmobile, we then headed for Calle Crisologo, the remaining stretch in the city that still had the Spanish-style houses and ambience remarkably well-preserved. It was literally like stepping through a portal in time. The streets were really paved in cobblestones, there were calesas rolling about and the houses were all still decked in capis-shell wooden windows. The entire place literally screamed ‘colonial-era’. We strolled through the streets, taking in the sights and getting whatever souvenirs we could, all the while politely declining the constant queries by the calesa pilots if we wanted a ride so that we could get around better. Actually, everyone else was being polite, i was just resisting the urge to mouth off and tell them to take a hike.

You can read more on the guys’ reactions after the trip starting here.

RR, let’s have a round 2 of this one please!
