RR Goes To Vigan!

OK, I believe this is the latest update I’ve ever done. Sorry folks.

Last January 9 to 11, a number of the ravens went up north to this idyllic little slice of history called Vigan. For those of you who don’t know about this place, it’s basically famous for it’s colonial Spanish era-style houses and cobblestone streets. It’s also been named as a World Heritage Site. You can read more about it on Wikipedia.

I didn’t get to go to this one, which was a major bummer since the guys had a ton of fun. So you can join me in my misery as we read through an excerpt of Fox’s recounting of day two:

Kit Bashing Marathon at DT’s

Last December 27, some members got together and proceeded to Doom Trigger‘s abode for something different. Yes, there was still going to be AC, Tekken and good food, the staples of an RR meet, but this time, kit-building was to included into the mix.

Now I don’t know if this is just laziness on my part, or the fact that I’m updating this at 12:30 in the morning, but I’ll say this: I didn’t get to go to this one, sadly, so you’ll have to go by this thread and ask around to find out what happened. In any case, picture time after the jump!

The Great Punking of 2008

Before last year closed out, we were able to organize two gatherings, one of which is the topic of this post.

This early Christmas party, held last November 29 at Leperman‘s house, was to be more of the same stuff that RR members have grown accustomed to: AC and Tekken, among other games, delicious food, and of course, each other’s sick/funny/retarded company. People signed up and confirmed, and it was destined to go down as another great congregation.

Little did I know it was going to be the most awesome one yet (for me at least).

RR Fails the Burger Challenge!

Last September 27, a few of us went down to Burger Avenue to try out the Ridiculous Burger Challenge they’re having. For those unfamiliar with this marketing shtick, a bit of background, stolen from ClickTheCity. The price has been jacked up to P260, but whatever:

The Encyclopedia Republika is Here

After what seems like forever, I finally decided to go and put up the wiki. Basically, I hope that in time this becomes an indispensable guide to Armored Core for both beginners and veterans alike, for whatever game in the series.

What that means is detailed stuff like stats and accurate timelines; something far deeper and more specific than what Wikipedia has now. Also, unlike the current state of information on AC where you have to search high and low on both well-known and obscure sites just to find the information you’re looking for, I’m hoping we’ll be able to collate them in one easy-to-navigate structure.

Given the open nature of wikis I’m hoping to snag a few of you ganados to write things for the place. I know you all know your stuff, so why not show it off?

Everything you might need to know about this newfangled feature is here.

I’ll Break Your Face!

Last June 28, we held the second Iron Fisticuffs tournament. Basically since we’re now looking at other games to play each other at, things naturally turned to that genre which was birthed from the very idea of competition: fighting games. Specifically, Tekken: Dark Resurrection.

PACT – Prawns, Armored Core, Tekken

This is a very late update. With that, let’s go.

PACT IV came eventually. And the action was good. We saw a mix of old timers and newcomers, and I think the rules held up well. No one brought anything that was too overpowering or cheap. Cheers to you, gentlemen.

PACT IV!
