You see that? That’s a skull on top of a Wanzer! The Magic Box recently unloaded a whole set of new screens for Front Mission Evolved, including what appears to be the ability to put a skull paint scheme on your Wanzer’s head. Talk about intimidating your opponents. Though the feature seems to exist for NPC units in the story, we have reason to believe the option will be unlockable for players for their personal enjoyment. Front Mission Evolved is due to be released on September 14, 2010.

Awesome screenies! I hope this latest incarnation of Front Mission fares well against Armored Core and players get enough customizations set on lengthy campaigns.

Glad that more mecha titles shine on the PS3. We'll see if it falls short of expections or not though.

I really have this feeling that's been bothering me for a while now. I just finished Transformers: War For Cybertron, and the fast paced gameplay featured in Front Mission Evolved seems eerily similar to the recent Transformers game.

I wonder how Mercury Steam (The current developers of FME) will capture the wanzer design complexity of the previous Front Mission games though. I just hope they surprise us with a deep multi-player experience with this title.

the main adversaries have custom mechs, hence the skull faces. the general enemies will be more generic looking. i can't wait to see some more of AC5
