Live Action Gaiking Movie Adaptation

A Hollywood treatment of the classic super robot anime Gaiking was recently announced at the Tokyo International Anime Fair. From the trailer, it looks like this classic super robot show will be getting a very gritty treatment and will feature current generation movie CGI. Gaiking is probably more known outside Japan as part of the Force Five series which also included other famous super robots such as Dangard Ace (Planetary Robot Dangard Ace) Starvengers (Getter Robo G) Grandizer (UFO Robot Grendizer) Spaceketeers (Starzinger). Take a look at the awesome trailer, along with the original Gaiking OP so you can compare and contrast the differences after the jump:

Armored Core Analogs: Grenade Launchers

Unfold gently when in need of serious heat.

Don't let the name fool you - from its long barrel, heavy weight, to its earth-shaking power, what Armored Core calls a "Grenade Launcher" is anything but a grenade launcher. Read why after the jump.

Armored Core Analogs: Slug Guns

We could not find a decent slug gun pic, so have a Cascade Range instead.

Shotguns are awesome.

While they lack a rifle's range or the MG's sustained fire ability, they're capable of generating absurd amounts of damage in one quick pass. So when From Software decided to up the ante with Slug Guns, you'd think we'd slapping them on our ACs ASAP, right?

Wrong. Continue reading after the jump.

Muscle Tracer Armored Core Fangame

This seems to be another fan made game in the works similar to Armored Core: Limit Release, but this one seems to have focused the game to Armored Core's typically unappreciated grunt enemies. The name of the game escapes us, but it seems that it features MT opponents from the first Armored Core game and might also feature some limited customization on parts. Hit the jump for the video.

Armored Core Analogs: Multi-missiles/Hydra

Not this sh*t again.

Much like the mythical creature from where it takes its name, the Multi-missile pack is one weapon most people dread. While it doesn’t have the phenomenal stopping power of the other back mounts, the Hydra’s strength lies in its surprise – four missiles erupting from the main body to engulf the enemy, and cut off their attempts at escape.
